At HoofScore, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how CHEVAL TECHNOLOGIES PTY LTD ("HoofScore", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the HoofScore mobile application and related services (the "Service").

By using HoofScore, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

• Name and email address
• Mobile number and country code
• Password (stored in hashed form)
• Profile picture
• User role (Owner, Trainer, Farrier, Barefoot Trimmer, Vet, etc.)
• Language preference

1.2 Horse & Hoof Image Data

• Horse details (name, breed, age, gender, and profile information)
• Hoof photos you capture or upload (HoofScore uses still images only)
• Scan history and analysis records
• Used only to provide hoof health analysis, scores, reports, and recommendations

1.3 Community Content

• Posts, comments, and replies
• Likes and reactions
• Leaderboard participation

1.4 Usage & Device Data

• Device model and operating system
• App version and app interactions
• Crash and diagnostic data
• Push notification device token (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

We do not collect your precise location.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use data to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide AI-powered hoof health analysis and health scores
• Generate reports, history, and personalized recommendations
• Manage horses and scan records
• Enable community and leaderboard features
• Verify subscriptions and manage premium access
• Send notifications and reminders you enable
• Improve app performance, security, and reliability
• Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations

3. AI Processing

Hoof images and related horse information are processed using automated AI and LLM systems to generate hoof health scores and recommendations. These systems may include trusted third-party AI service providers acting solely on our behalf.

4. Subscription & Billing Data

HoofScore offers subscriptions through Google Play and the Apple App Store.

We receive limited subscription information:

• Subscription product and plan type
• Purchase token, transaction identifiers, and order ID
• Purchase, renewal, and expiry dates
• Subscription status

⚠️ HoofScore does not receive or store credit card or payment details. Payments are processed securely by Google or Apple.

5. Legal Basis

Where required by law (for example, under the GDPR or UK GDPR), we process data based on:

• Contractual necessity
• Legitimate interests
• User consent
• Legal obligations

6. Data Sharing

We may share data with:

• Cloud hosting and storage providers
• Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Cloud Messaging)
• AI processing service providers
• Google Play Billing and Apple App Store for subscription verification
• Meta/Facebook or Google Sign-In when you choose those login methods
• Legal authorities where required by law
• Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or business transfer

Content you post in the community may be visible to other HoofScore users together with your profile name, picture, and role.

We do not sell personal data.

7. Data Retention

Data is retained while your account is active and only as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain scan history and reports, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, unless longer retention is required by law.

8. Account Deletion Policy

If you wish to delete your account, please log in to the app, go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via email for assistance with account deletion.

Note: Deleting your HoofScore account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Subscriptions must be canceled through Google Play or the Apple App Store.

9. User Rights

Depending on your location, you may:

• Access your data
• Request correction or deletion
• Withdraw consent
• Request data portability
• Object to or restrict certain processing

10. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit. No system is 100% secure.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own by our trusted service providers. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data.

12. Children's Privacy

HoofScore is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted within the app with an updated Effective Date.
